1- The Rice Field

I inhale the morning air

fresh, and I breath

this is the thing I miss

in the city life

where I chased my dreams.

But here I am

savoring the long lost feeling.. I'm home

the view

the air

the gentle ray of sun

in the rice field

so refreshing.

And the old, golden days of mine

flashing in my mind.

So good morning

to the sweet and lovely bird

to the colorful butterfly

to the strong Buffalo

and to that rice field

that fed me..

my stomach

my soul

my heart..

2- Agos River

That blue water, magical view

of the Agos River

where I swim and dive

when I was a child.

Its flow is like life

once it's passed

it will never come back

so go, young people

make memories

you can treasure.

Oh! Agos River

you once like a paradise

and I am your little mermaid, swimming

and collecting feelings

of love and happiness

that for my lifetime

I will cherish..

3- The Garden

Lovely flowers

its green, healthy leaves

I love you

you colored  my life

purple, blue, red and yellow

you add feelings

and touched my jarred heart.

Keep dancing

though it's raining

for the sun will rise

and again this garden shines.

Lovely flowers

colorful garden

be my bestfriend

for you know I am your butterfly.

4- Oh! Mountain

Oh! Mountain

I always fond

waiting for the sun to shine

come out from your behind

and light up my world

my precious day.

Sierra Madre Oh! Sierra Madre

I used to climb

in the tree

where its roots

are in your breast

so thank you

for making me feel

that I'm blessed, always.

Your greenness before

made me wonder

how people can do such a thing

and made you dry,

lifeless

and logging companies

became rich?

5- Suminglat Falls

In the coldness of your water

in this noon of May

I fell in love to a guy

Nilo is his name.

But this love faded that soon

and his heart turns cold

as cold as your water

why, Suminglat Falls?

But that question

don't ask now for answer

for I learned that sometimes

beautiful things will be gone

to be replaced by precious one.

6- Flores De Mayo

Every summer

Flores de Mayo is celebrated

so I can dance like this is

the last night of my life.

I am May

born in this beautiful month

I am a Taurean

soul and character

for I believe in the stars

that colored my sweet,

warm night.

Hello flowers bloomed

feel the intimate summer air

feel the sincere kiss of the sun

feel my love.

Flores de Mayo reminds me

that nature is love

flower is happiness

and life is full of colors

and challenges.

7- Backyard

In the Guava tree

where I used to climb

while singing Gintong Araw

there I find

the sweet, sour life.

Across is Mango tree

where I don't want to be

because the fruits

is sometimes not sweet

like the sweat I wasted

to the love

I'm not entitled to have.

Looking back is sometimes

a little bitter

specially in this backyard

where my first heartbreak happened

but as time passes

and I grew up, I realized

to forgive-

I have to be in this backyard

once more

and feel the pain once more

and let go..

8- Moon

I looked up above,

smiling.

Hi! Mister Moon

be my lover tonight

kiss my soul

feel every beat of my heart

touch the whole me

ang let's make this night

a warm, sublime night

of my borrowed life.

Love me Mister Moon

like it's the end of this cruel

but wonderful world.

9- Kuliglig

This sound from somewhere

outside the house

makes my soul sleepy

makes my world collapse

and forget the hurts.

This sound from somewhere

outside the house

is the sound that I want to hear

every night.

If I could only live here

hearing this magical noise

while pursuing my dreams

somewhere.

If.

10- The Bed

While lying in this bed

thinking of those things

laughter 

photographs

and precious memories.

How bitter yet sweet

the past is

in this bed

everything feels like yesterday.

A yesterday that will always

linger in my heart.

11- Tik-tila-ok

Tik ti la ok!

tik ti la ok!

wake up

sleepy heart

it's 4:00 o'clock

in the morning.

Get up!

fix the bed

the veranda is waiting

go and watch

the hopeful sunrise.

12- Coffee

Uhmm!

hot coffee for this gorgeous lady.

Uhmm!

sip it.

while feeding your eyes

with the beauty

of this magical sight

of the farm.

13- Hello, Blazing Sun!

Hello! Blazing Sun

how are you up there

seems you're not affected

by the rage

of those who want to destroy

this Mother Earth.

I hope love can shine like you

so this human race

will live in peace.

Come, Blazing Sun

teach us

how this love can truly shines.

14- Tears

Tears tell a different feelings

anger

loneliness

sadness

joy

affection

and acceptance

and tears are fallin' down in my cheeks.

And I questioned myself;

why?

Am I that brave enough

to show my feelings?

to be proud of my emotions?

to share my sentiments?

to you and to the entire world?

and my answer is...yes!

Sierra Madre mountain

Suminglat falls

Flores de Mayo

backyard

a night with Mister Moon

magical sounds from kuliglig

bed of yesterday

those tik ti la ok at 4 o'clock in the morning

coffee in the veranda

the love and blazing sun

those things that made my eyes teary

in this farm-

I found my old soul

heart breaks

happy moments.

I'll be leaving,

but will come back one day

in this farm

because my heart

always belong here.
